Send the request
Email [email protected], preferably with the subject “Data deletion”. Include the WhatsApp number and/or email address associated with the order and state whether you seek deletion of all eligible data or a category such as WhatsApp conversations. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically and justifiably request them; we ask only for the minimum needed.
Identity verification
To prevent unauthorised access or deletion, we may request confirmation from the phone number or email concerned. If information is insufficient, we explain what additional item is needed and why. A representative may act after verification of both identity and authority; no data is disclosed before verification is sufficient.
Response time
We report the action taken without undue delay and within one month of receipt. Complex or numerous requests may extend the period by up to two months; we notify you of the extension and reasons during the first month. The GDPR period is one month, not a fixed 30 days. Requests are normally free; a reasonable fee or refusal is possible only under the strict GDPR rules for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
Data deleted or anonymised
Where GDPR conditions are met, we delete or anonymise unnecessary data controlled by EGO INDUSTRIAL GAS S.R.L., including eligible support conversations, contact, profile, order and technical-log data. Processors acting for us are instructed to apply corresponding measures, and recipients are informed of correction, deletion or restriction where legally required and possible.
Data not deleted immediately
The right to erasure is not absolute. We may retain only what is needed for tax and accounting duties, legal claims, system security, fraud prevention or another legal obligation. Accounting and supporting records are generally kept for five years from 1 July of the following year, subject to special periods. Access remains restricted and data is deleted or anonymised when the reason expires.
Backups and external providers
Data is removed first from active systems. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten and are not used in normal operations; deletion is reapplied after restoration where legally possible. WhatsApp and other services may process some data for their own purposes, requiring use of their privacy tools. Deleting EgoLog data does not delete the copy of a conversation on your device or account.
Refusal, alternatives and complaints
If a request cannot be granted in full or in part, we explain the reasons and appeal options. You may complain to ANSPDCP or the competent court. If you only want WhatsApp communication to stop, you may block the number in the app. Consent-based communication can be stopped by withdrawing consent without requesting deletion of all data.
